Qigong (also called Chi Kung) has been practised in China for thousands of years. Qigong involves gentle movement to encourage the opening of joints and the softening of tensions held in both body to experience it from a point of restful stillness.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive.
